What People are Saying

"I was blessed to be part of Smithtown Christian School when the doors first opened in 1978.   Now that I am married and have two beautiful daughters, my husband and I know the importance of raising our children in a Christian environment.  Enrollment in the Early Learning Center has been such a wonderful experience for both of our daughters.  We are very fortunate to have our children surrounded by such loving and nurturing teachers.  It is a safe learning environment and the program has helped our daughters develop academically and emotionally.  To see huge smiles on their faces when they walk through those doors gives us peace of mind when we go off to work.  The girls have developed such wonderful relationships with their teachers and have made many great friends.  God has blessed our family and we are extremely thankful for what has been offered to our children at the Early Learning Center!"  --  Mrs. Stephanie (Macchia) Mastrorocco, alumna, ELC/SCS parent

Smithtown Christian School is unique. For over 31 years, SCS has been a place with faculty, staff and administration who are committed to preparing the youth of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. However, the road to maturity today’s children are traveling is paved with challenges that were unknown less than a generation ago.

SCS has been a faithful, caring community where students are educated to think Biblically, serve effectively, and lead Christ-centered lives through academic excellence and spiritual growth. It’s a mission that will not change. It is a responsibility taken very solemnly.

Those who came before established a rich heritage in fostering a rigorous academic program and a dynamic spiritual vitality. SCS has been blessed to be a school of:

  1. Positive and powerful diversity with students from Christian families of numerous evangelical denominations, and drawn from many local communities on Long Island.
  2. Teachers and staff that understand that foundation of all truth is God’s truth and that learning needs to be based on the Word of God
  3. Leadership with a vision for the future, and an eye on the needs of the present.

The value of carefully and purposefully investing in and educating these students for the cause of Christ is incalculable. Parents have a rare opportunity to see their children educated to not only prepare them for vocations of working life – but to serve God and minister to a needy world
