SCS has assisted in developing my skill and love for art. The school has abundantly loving and gifted art teachers, Mrs. Fowler and Mr. Roselle. They have helped me along in my creative journey. They have given me not just a room in which to do art, but they have created an atmosphere to inspire and encourage my creativity. The lessons I learned in the classroom have applied directly to my life, they have helped shape me into the person I am today.
I have been attending Smithtown Christian School since preschool. My favorite thing about SCS is how much the teachers do for the students. The teachers genuinely care about the kids attending SCS.
I am a senior this year, and I am so excited to go to Disney for our senior trip. The reason why I am so excited is that I have been dreaming about “the senior trip” since day one. It will be filled with amazing memories shared with my class, and I think that's the whole point of a senior trip: the more fun, the better!
Speaking of fun, I am the president of the art honor society, so my days are filled with art and creativity. The next upcoming art contest I will be participating in is the Suffolk County Anti-Cyber Bullying Contest. Our school hosts multiple art shows throughout the year, and the Seniors have their own Senior Art Showcase toward the end of the year.

Being surrounded by the love of God and the love of my teachers has helped me become, unknowingly, a more loving person to those around me. Memorizing scripture since pre-k and elementary school has shown me how important it is to have scripture ”hidden in your heart.” Smithtown Christian School has had such a big impact on my life. Leaving the school when I graduate this year will be difficult, but I pray SCS will continue to help grow more beautiful minds and hearts for God. - Senior, Cheyenne S.
